The Leaf-Peepers, the Knitter, and Me                 The title of this section is a riff on a Muppet song, “Rainbow Connection.” You can listen to it here                 This past weekend, my spouse and I went to a festival where there was a ton of yarn, some sheep, some herding dogs (mostly border collies) and lots of leaves turning color for the autumn. It was a wonderful trip, and I encountered many people I would have never met.                 It was also a hard trip for me because I couldn’t see the changing of the leaves.   Q: Can a cop be wicked without being a dirty cop A: If their wickedness involves dancing, half n@ked at a gay club, absolutely! The following is an excerpt from an interview I did with Detective Bob White, whose stage name is Birdie. Want to read the whole thing? Emily: I thought you had a side gig. Bob: I absolutely do. Emily: What is it…?   Check out the story Bob comes from here: Changeling Press Other retailers:  ...

The phrase above is based, very loosely, on a line from “The Rainbow Connection” as sung by Kermit the Frog from the Muppets. Findit here : I’ve been thinking about the beauty of the Earth because I’ve been puttering around with a couple of Marisburg Connections, Marisburg Chronicles 6, which is a collection of four short stories. Three of the couples featured have their own, longer novellas, but Trent and Erik are a brand new couple that need their own tale. Erik is visually impaired, and I can imagine that if he’s rarely seen leaves change color, doing so would be a rare and wondrous gift for him. Check out his short story here   Marisburg Connections: Four couples from Marisburg share a connection that’s stronger than anything the universe -- or even a small town -- can put in their way. Sunlight (Marisburg Connections 1): Jack and Tyler struggle with family complications and Jake’s lo...
