Whether you hate the main word of this song (I happen to despise it) the sentiment of making a previous lover jealous runs deep in our culture. It gives and causes just as much healing as it creates drama and pain. In three interconnected novels, “Holiday Fatigue,” “Impulse Control,” and “impulse caught,” jealousy causes so much drama that a long-established couple are put at risk and a new couple might not make it to their happily-ever-after. In early May, my wife and I went to see the Botanic Gardens. We brought our service dogs, FAB (my wife’s white party poodle) and RAWH (my guide dog). Today’s all about showing them off.     This last one is of RAWH actually staring at the camera. Since he’s very much *not* a publicity seeker, it was a rare opportunity. This was on the 2 nd of May before we left for the gardens.

There’s joy in delivery, but there’s also pain. Be it delivering a baby (which I can’t do), or the delivery of a large box from my parents, the suffering and elation are mixed in. I only state the obvious because I’m planning to give birth to a new pen name. This pseudonym will be used for LGBTQ+ romance, but of the sweet and low heat variety. Leave a comment if you are interested in learning more, or, if this is too public a spot, please email me so I can put your name on my new subscriber list. I have two and a quarter sweet romances written. One of them, A Bone to Pick, has been submitted to a new publisher. I’ll let you know how that goes! Here’s a sneak peek from Reed My Lips (Les Orchestrations 1), which is currently under Emily Carrington. The premise: Two musicians in an all-female orchestra in the DC area begin falling for each other. Homophobia from others and their own insecurities try to keep them apart, but love conquers all division. Amazon   From “Reed ...

There’s this great and cheesy movie from the 1990s called Quest for Camelot. Get it? They’re on a quest and they wanted, in former times, to get to Camelot. It’s a cartoon and features a woman who wants to become a knight and a blind man who once worked in the royal stables. Most of the music is cheesy as heck, but I happen to like “I Stand Alone” which is sung by the blind guy. It reminds me of Aidan Delaney, from my Heartwood box set. Disclaimer: I don’t earn any money by sharing this song, just get some giggles.
