The History of #GrrHissMoo
If you work in the school system, or around kids in general, long enough, you develop certain phrases and code words to replace cursing and frustration. This #ManicMonday I’m glad I’m able to sleep in and give my favorite substitute swear a break. GrrHissMoo is my go-to word when I’m frustrated (usually with technology or myself) beyond all reason. It’s from a video game with a secret cow level where the cows, armed with machine guns, snarl “GrrHissMOO!” as they try to kill you. I’ve never actually played the game because it’s very visual and I’m blind, but I found that collection of three sounds hilarious. Today on this #LaborDay and #DayOfRest I celebrate being able to use adult words for when things go wrong, like my developing an ear infection and my spouse catching a cold all in the same 24 hours. What makes you go “GrrHissMoo?”
